"Many of us go to great lengths to expose vulnerability or to disguise it. I'm interested in the opposing strength and fragility of the individual. There is something beautiful in the revelation of personal subtext, though I suppose deception is just as intriguing."
Caitlin Wheeler is an emerging visual artist from Baltimore, Maryland. She received her BFA in Printmaking from University of Delaware in 2007. She has held studio internships at Women's Studio Workshop in Kingston, New York and Yee-Haw Print Industries in Knoxville, Tennessee. Wheeler's art work has been exhibited nationally, with groups such as the International Print Center of New York in Chelsea, Art House Co-Op from Atlanta (now residing in Brooklyn, NY), Bluebottle Art Gallery in Seattle, PULP Gallery in Omaha, and the Northern Olympia All Ages Project.
Currently self-employed, she is available for commissioned illustration and art work. She is also a skilled printmaker, looking to collaborate with other artists and set up a creative studio space and print shop in Baltimore, Maryland.
